Alecia Parker

Head Coach

Alecia (Wilson) Parker will enter her fourth season as head women's basketball coach at Pacific University, being named head coach on April 11, 2018.

In 2021-22, Parker led the Boxers to their best season since 1992 by finishing 19-8 overall and 12-4 in Northwest Conference play. Pacific reached the championship game of the NWC Tournament following their thrilling victory over nationally-ranked Puget Sound in the semifinal round.

Parker coached Northwest Conference Player of the Year, Camy Aguinaldo, who scored nearly 2,000 points (1,994) in her career and later received Third Team All-American honors from D3hoops.com.

Parker and the Boxers enjoyed one of their best seasons in 2019-20 posting a 17-9 record and 11-5 to finish second in the Northwest Conference and earn an appearance in the NWC Tournament for the first time since 2009. The Boxers hosted the first round of the NWC Tournament their first playoff home game since 1996. While the winning record was the first since 2012-13 season.

The 2019-20 season included several big accomplishments including the programs first win over a Division II program (exhibition - 73-68 win at Western Oregon), longest win streak in 20+ years (9-game win streak) and first NWC "Freshman of the Year" in program history as Brilie Kovaloff earned the honors.

In her first season the Boxers posted a 8-17 mark on the hardwood. She has coached eight All-NWC honorees with three coming in the 2019-20 season. In three seasons at Pacific, Parker is 44-34 overall and 25-27 in NWC action.

Prior to Pacific, Parker spent four years as an assistant women's basketball coach at Whitworth University. With the Pirates, she has been involved in multiple aspects of the program including recruiting, management of the offense, film and scouting as well as strength and conditioning. Twice, Whitworth reached the Northwest Conference Tournament semifinals and won 61% of their contests overall during her four seasons with the Pirates and had the schools longest win streak her first season on staff.

Parker began her coaching career as an assistant at Carroll College in Helena, MT. She was involved in the skill development with the guards, organizing travel recruiting and monitoring academic success.

She was a four-year letterwinner and start with the University of Montana Western basketball program and was a three-year captain. As a senior, she was an honorable mention all-conference selection and as a junior, she led the Frontier Conference in assists, despite playing most of the year as a power forward.

Parker completed her master's degree from Whitworth in counseling in 2018 and earned her bachelor's degree from Montana Western in psychology.

Parker and her husband, Billy reside in Forest Grove.


Kyle Erickson

Assistant Coach

Kyle Erickson is in his second season as an Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Pacific University.

Erickson and the Boxers in his first season landed a pair of players - Courtney Carolan and Liana Tanaka - on the all-Northwest Conference.Team. Pacific was one of the top teams in the nation in free throw percentage (23rd), making 74.4% of its free-throw attempts and in 3-point field goal attempts (48th, 623).

Along with head coach Alecia Parker, Erickson has played a key role in the recruiting efforts for the Boxers.

Prior to coming to Pacific, he spent the 2017-18 as an assistant with the Montana State University-Billings men's basketball team after spending a season playing and coaching basketball in Italy.

The Broadview, Montana native, Erickson enjoyed a successful playing career at the University of Montana Western in Dillon, Montana. He was named an NAIA All-American after an outstanding season in 2011-12.

Erickson entered the coaching ranks, following his playing career as he got his start as an assistant for the Montana Western's women's team. He then landed at Miles City Community College where he worked he worked as an assistant for the men's program for two seasons before making his way to Billings where he spent a season on the Rocky Mountain College women's basketball staff.
